Documentation for the CAL PACT courses are available
in .PDF format (Portable Document Format). To view these files,
you must have Adobe
Acrobat's PDF Viewer which is distributed freely. To view these files
on a PC, right click the link and select "Save Target As.." or "Save Link
As..." Select a location to store the file and click "Save." On a Macintosh,
make sure to save the file as "Source" not text. Follow the special directions
below if you are using Internet Explorer as your web
browser.*
All documentation is available to campus staff.
Handouts displaying keyboard command shortcuts
(rather than using a mouse) are also listed here. Old course
documentation can be found in the archives.
If you have problems printing out any of the documentation,
please send email to calpact@berkeley.edu
or call 2-0559.
* Note to Internet Explorer
Users: It is recommended that you save the .pdf files to your hard
drive rather than open the links directly. There is a compatibility problem
between IE and Adobe Acrobat reader which crashes IE when .pdf files are
opened in the browser. For more information, go the Adobe
support website.
To view the files:
Right-click and use the Save As... option. Open
the file from your hard drive in Acrobat Reader
OR,
To open the links directly, in Adobe Acrobat
Reader:
Click File, Preferences, General.
In the Options portion of the dialog box,
ensure the box beside Web Browser Integration is not checked.
Click OK and close Acrobat Reader. Now when
you click on a link to a .pdf file, your browser will prompt you
to open the file from it's current location or save the file to
disk. If you choose to open the file, it will open in a separate
Reader window instead of the web browser.
