Summer 2008 Schedule
The Summer 2008 schedule is available on our website here.
Online
Training Courses
See our page on e-Learn for more info on online training courses.
Web Design Makeover
The WebDesign series as we know it has been completely modified! The new
series includes XHTML (an "improved" type
of HTML), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), DreamWeaver, and Photoshop. The
goal of these courses is to help campus staff build websites which are
more in line with current web standards and more accessible to a wider
audience. The new series is seven sessions, easily found by the name Web
Design 1, 2, 3, and so on.
Drop-In Policy
Many CAL PACT courses fill up quickly, and we do not offer waiting lists
for our courses. However, we allow drop-ins on a first come, first served
basis up to the course limit of 18 participants for all courses except
Dreamweaver, CalNet Deputy training, and specially scheduled departmental
courses. Simply show up on the day of the course with your employee ID!
Attendance Policy
Doors will close promptly on the hour. If you are not present when class
begins your seat will be made available to drop-ins, and you may lose
your seat in the class.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Dreamweaver shortcuts, FileMaker shortcuts, and updated
shortcuts for our other courses are available with our handouts!
Typing Software
Are you tired of hunting and pecking? CAL PACT now has typing software
available for two month loan to all UC Berkeley campus employees!
Free Keyboard Shortcuts!
CAL PACT has a surplus of older version keyboard shortcuts. If you are a
UC Berkeley staff member, you are eligible to for a free laminated keyboard
shortcut list for any of software below. Just email calpact@berkeley.edu to make sure we
